College Football Betting – Big 12 Picks

Oklahoma Sooners vs Texas Longhorns

College football odds: Longhorns -3

The Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns get set to renew the Red River Rivalry this Saturday at high noon on ABC but unfortunately for college football fans, this game just doesn’t have the pizazz that it could have. The Big 12 is still up for grabs as both teams are undefeated in the conference but the Sooners have already lost twice on the year.

The Sooners started the year with a loss on a neutral site against BYU when quarterback Sam Bradford was injured in the game. After that, the Sooners again lost a couple of weeks ago when the Miami Hurricanes upended them in Land Shark Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Longhorns aren’t exactly hot coming into this game either as they were down at the half to Colorado last week before rolling eventually. To give some insight, the Longhorns were a 32-point favorite in the game.

This game will be a clash. Regardless of where these two teams are in the standings, they both beat the crap out of each other every time they play. Injuries are going to be a factor as the Longhorns may be without their top two running backs while the Sooners will be without top tight end Jermaine Gresham and possibly wideout Ryan Broyles.

Look for the Longhorns to get the win, though. The Sooners are a tough team to beat in Norman but when they are on a neutral site or on the road, the situation changes and they become a bit vulnerable.

Sports picks: Longhorns -3

Missouri Tigers @ Oklahoma State Cowboys

Offshore Sportsbook: Cowboys -7

The Oklahoma State Cowboys only have one loss on the year but they have still be one of the most disappointing teams in college football. The Cowboys were expected to be a dangerous squad with weapons like Zach Robinson, Kendall Hunter and Dez Bryant. As we head into this week’s contest, Robinson has been so-so, Hunter has been hurt and Bryant is currently suspended by the NCAA.

The Cowboys host a Missouri squad that nobody is really sure about in the Big 12. Last week, Missouri was beating Nebraska at the start of the fourth quarter when the team completely collapsed and lost. The real question is how are they going to respond. Last week, they were at home but this week is a road trip to a hostile environment. There is less pressure but they are still not in the same class as the Cowboys.
