College Basketball Betting Preview
Marquette (23-6) at Pittsburgh (26-3)
Wednesday, 7:30 pm Eastern – ESPN 2

SBG Global Opening Line: Pittsburgh – 10 , Total 148.5

Pittsburgh will look for their 20th straight home win on Wednesday as they host #13 Marquette. The Panthers still have hopes of winning the Big East title while the Golden Eagles chances are gone after losing two straight. Marquette lost guard Dominic James in the loss to Connecticut just over a week ago and has not been the same. “They’ve had a big injury, but they have played with this same team the entire season,” Panthers coach Jamie Dixon said. “So I don’t believe they’ll have a problem dealing with it. I think they’re doing the same things as when James was in there. They try to run and get the ball out to their wings.”
SBG Global reports that early College basketball line has the public taking Pittsburgh at Home.

Marquette lost on Sunday to Louisville in a game they believe they should have won. “We should have won, that’s how we feel,” said guard Wesley Matthews, “We don’t feel any reason we should have lost this game.”
Marquette will need a much better effort out of leading scorer Jerel McNeal who had just 10 points against the Cardinals. He was a pathetic 3 for 19 from the field. “He didn’t make many shots,” coach Buzz Williams said. “But we will still let him shoot them. He is the guy that we want to shoot the ball.”

Marquette will definitely have their hands full against a Pittsburgh team that is 26-3 on the season. The Panthers are second in the Big East and ninth in the nation in rebounding. If Pittsburgh defeats Marquette on Wednesday and Connecticut on Saturday they could win the Big East title if Louisville loses.
