NBA Betting Preview
Phoenix Suns (34-25) at Orlando Magic (43-16)
Tuesday, 7:05 pm Eastern

SBG Global Opening Line: Magic – 7 , Total 233

An NBA matchup of super big men is on tap for Tuesday night as Shaquille O’Neal and the Phoenix Suns face Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic.
This is the first meeting of the season between the two teams as Orlando tries to break a six-game losing streak to the Suns. SBG Global reports that early NBA betting has the public taking Magic at Home.

Dwight Howard leads the NBA in blocks (2.9) and rebounds per game (14.1) and is an All-Star while Shaq is a former All-Star who has played his best basketball of the season in his last two games. Shaq had 33 points and seven rebounds on Sunday as the Suns defeated the Lakers by a score of 118-111 and he poured in 45 points and pulled down 11 rebounds on Friday in a 133-113 win over Toronto. The win over the Lakers was especially important to the Suns. “Obviously a great win for us,” head coach Alvin Gentry said, “against what I think is still the best team in the league.” Phoenix is expected to get Steve Nash back in the lineup on Tuesday. Nash has missed the last three games with a sprained ankle.

Howard had only 12 points and 8 rebounds on Saturday against Philadelphia but the Magic won 106-100 as the team tied a franchise record with 37 three-point attempts. Rashard Lewis made five of those, Courtney Lee hit four while Hedo Turkoglu chipped in three. “We decided to stick with it,” Turkoglu said. “We’re glad our shots went down.”

Here are the NBA betting stats for Tuesday’s game. The Suns are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Tuesday games. The Suns are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Suns are 5-11-1 ATS in their last 17 vs. the Eastern Conference. The Suns are 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 road games. The underdog is 13-3 ATS in the last 16 meetings between the two teams.

The Magic are 18-5 ATS in their last 23 vs. the Pacific. The Magic are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 vs. the Western Conference. The Magic are 27-12 ATS in their last 39 games overall.

SBG Global Current Line: Magic – 7 , Total 233

The Under is 5-0 in the Suns last 5 vs. the Southeast. The Over is 5-1 in the Suns last 6 road games. The Over is 7-2 in the Suns last 9 overall.

The Over is 4-1 in Orlando’s last 5 overall. The Under is 13-6 in Orlando’s last 19 home games. The Over is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings between the two teams.
