LA righthander Jered Weaver, who’s 8-8 this season with a 4.08 ERA, will get the start Monday while Daisuke Matsuzaka will start for the Red Sox. The righthander is 11-1 with a 2.63 ERA so far this season.

 

Matsuzaka, who is 6-1 in nine home starts this season, has never faced the Angels in the regular season. Dice-K faced Anaheim in Game 2 of the ALDS last season, allowing three runs in 4 2/3 innings of his team’s 6-3 win.

 

Sportingbet.com has the Red Sox as a -167 favorite and the over/under total at 9.

 

The Angels dropped a 5-2 decision to the Baltimore Orioles as a -150 favorite on Sunday. The score went under the total of 9.5.

 

After losing the first two games of their series with AL rival New York Yankees, Boston salvaged a 9-2 win as a -175 favorite on Sunday. The 11 runs went over the total of 10.5.

 

The Angels are 5-1 against Boston this season, including a 2-1 record as the visitor.

 

On Tuesday, righthander John Lackey (8-2, 3.02 ERA) will get the start for the Angels while RHP Clay Buchholz will be on the mound for the Red Sox (2-5, 5.81 ERA).
